Adjuncts say UNION YES
By an overwheliming yes vote, the adjuncts of Cornell ILR are now represented by CUAFF-Upstate.
CUAFF-Upstate will sending out the new union constitution and ballots for its approval. Included in the packet will be a CUAFF-Uptate and NYSUT membership form for unit members to complete and return.

Why affiliate with NYSUT?
New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) is the education union in New York. They represent over 42 thousand faculty, adjuncts and professional staff at SUNY, CUNY and nearly dozen private colleges. They offer professional staff services, research, effective lobbying of the state legislature, staff attorneys when needed and a discount on insurances, purchasing and travel through their Member Benefits program. The more important reason is local autonomy. We will own our collective bargainng agreement and will use as many or as few services from NYSUT as we need. NYSUT is also very democratic and we would be able to participate fully, even as a smaller affiliate. |
